Swap file question?

Is there a rule of thumb when it comes to setting the max. and min. figures in your swap file use? Or is it better to just leave it alone as [recommended] and let windows manage the file? I heard something about twice the number of your ram for the max but I'm not sure. Also, if it is changed will that effect the casheman utility?Thank You!

There are many different opinions as to what you should set your swap file size to. Many people say you should set the swap file min/max to 1.5X your physical RAM size. That way it won't fragment at all, and will probably give you plenty of space.

Personally, I have 512 MB of physical RAM and a 256 MB swap file. I find it works fine, and Windows almost never touches the swap file.

As for the Cacheman utility, it sets properties other than the swap file.
