I think lots of songs are about drugs, but not Comfortably Numb.
Drugs were not the reason for the Numbness.
 
As much as I like Bush, I think we need to come to the realization that not all lyrics mean something. Most are just put in there so that the mainstream audience can have "words" in their songs. Almost every time I play an instrumental piece, not classical or jazz or anything, I'm just talking instrumental rock such as Mogwai, someone always ask "Does this song even have any words?" I am like wtf, why does there need to be. I guess most people don't hear the music, they just wants something that sounds good and they can look cool listening to. --- just my opinion though
