I assume that this computer has windows XP? What service pack does it have installed on it? Or does it have any service pack at all? That looks like the blaster worm that was infecting computers that didn't have any service packs installed on them. It could be something else, but it looks the same.

1) What antivirus software (brand & model, e.g. McAfee VirusScan 10 or whatever) are you using?

2) What firewall software are you using?

3) Do you have a router to provide a perimeter firewall between the Internet (your modem) and your computers?

1) Spybot Search n Destroy (newest); Lavasoft AdAware (newest); Trend Micro Server Protect.

2) Windows std. firewall software.

3) Have 3 routers, the last one has a firewall on it.

k, just so you're aware, neither Spybot nor Ad-Aware are antivirus products in the sense I'm using here. Is the desktop PC running Trend Micro Server Protect?

BTW I have to go for a while but here's something to start with:

1) update the antivirus definitions

2) go through the antivirus software's configuration options and max stuff out, including heuristics and scanning inside of compressed files/archives

3) reboot the computer into Safe Mode and run a full antivirus scan using these maxed-out settings and up-to-date virus definitions. Anything bad discovered? If so, post the exact names of what's found.
