SVCD ? UPDATED :P

Alright guys, I'm a newbie to this I just converted avi to a mpeg using TMpeg....Now that I have the encoded file, what do I do with it? Can I just burn it to a CD or is there more I have to do?
UPDATE alright, the video works fine, but the audio sucks...kind crackles....how do i get that to stop?

use nero to create an SVCD

With DVD2SVCD you don't have to convert to an MPEG first.
