SVCD --> DVD-r

Since Playstation 2's cannot play SVCD's, is there a way to make one into a DVD? I read the guide at doom9.org and it mentioned something about not being able to convert the audio, but if you have an SVCD player it will be fine. I'm wondering if it would be mute on a PS2 then?

Extract the MPEG file from the SVCD and use an MPEG encoder to change it to DVD compliant MPEG-2. There is no reason why you will not be able to convert the audio.
