Well this sucks like an electrolux but I went to order some more of these today and they were gone from the site...called SVC and the GC68 coolers are discontinued :(

Since the GC69 seems eternally not available, are there any other inexpensive coolers that take 80mm fans like these did?

Damn, nothing even comes close for the price, and I could add LED fans to them when I had a windowed case, nice and quiet....

Speeze mades good cheap heatsinks.

How about a Thermalright ALX-800 for $16. Saw it in Hot Deals.

Well, there's the Thermaltake TR2-M1 with an 80mm tri-LED fan for $12 at SVC.

The GC69 does become available from time to time. I just bought one from them two weeks ago.

How about this Galaxy JVC652A unit for $4.99 from Nexfan.com? It uses a 70x70x15mm fan and an aluminum skivved heatsink. That heatsink should be able to make up for the smaller fan versus those GC68/69 coolers.

I have the gc68 for a year now. Worked good when I first got it. but with dust collecting so easily and it not be able to dissipate heat fast enough, the system is show signs of instability. I will replace the gc68 with the thermalright listed above. looks like a good price for the performance.

if its for someone else, yea, why not use a gc68, if its for yourself, just spend a little more for the good thermalright stuff :) just my 2 cents

Yeah, the Speeze Whisper Rock and Falcon Rock series are very similar and are pretty low priced at newegg et al.
