I like the style and the overall design of the monitor from looking at the pix...it looks pretty hot...as in the appearance...not the deal.

the response time is 45 second and it has no DVI

not for gaming

That's the spec I look at. I didn't know anyone even made an LCD FP display with a response time greater than 26. Most of the common sale prices FP's are 25 or 26, such as most of the Samsungs and the generic brands sold at CompUSA, Fry's, Office?'s .

That being said, then watch for the widely sold Samsung models that seem to be going for around $300 after sizeable mir's.

Thanks anyway for the OP, keep the deals rolling;)

If the 45ms response time is true, this is pretty poor by todays standards. Games and DVDs will show obvious motion trails during fast action. If you are one of the many people who would pay tax for this, almost 9% for me in Seattle, you would be better going to Newegg and checking out the 17" selection. There are plenty available in this price range. And the Newegg deals have some interesting user reviews for comparison.

Here is probably the same SVA at Newegg. Not very impressive. I think the wide bezel around the LCD is pretty ugly and actually makes the monitor seem smaller than it really is.
