SUV owners who wax their SUVs...

how do you wax your roof, do you bother to climb on your own vehicle, risk scratching it (belt buckle) to

buff the roof?

Take off anything that would scratch the side of the vehicle. Not to be a smart ass, but that's about it.

I've washed mine once since I bought it and it's a 2000🙂
Waaay to much work just to get dirty the following weekend.

I had a tool box mounted in the bed of my truck. I just stood on it.

Go to a automatic car wash. Pay the extra $1 and get it waxed by the machine.

That's what I do. That's why my 8 year old car stays all shiny and purdy 😛

I've found the easiest way to do it with my truck is a use a jack. Just pump it as high as it will go and flip the truck on it's side. The roof is easily accesible...

🙂

I am amazed. A car nut who doesn't even wash his own car. Most Car Freaks won't go anywhere near an automatic wash.

I bought a plastic, folding, 2-step, stepstool from Home Depot. I think it's made by Rubbermaid.

Because I'm over 200lbs, I can't use the usual wimpy little stepstools they sell in KMart, etc. Those are made for women and children.

I have stomped and beat on this little stepstool and haven't broken it yet.

It folds, so it fits neatly on the floor of the backseat when I have to load it up to drive to the carwash.

Bonus wax points if it isn't your vehicle.

Yeah, you'll want to do the top before the sides in that case, to avoid mussing your waxjob 😉

There's a difference between a true car fanatic and one who just talks about cars a lot 😛
