Suspend option not showing in shutdown option

After my hard drive was infected with a virus I had to do a complete reinstall of win2k. Before I had the problem with the virus my computer had no trouble suspending but now after my reinstall the option for me to suspend isn't even there in the shutdown menu. I have enabled acpi and chose (STR). But when I go into power management it only has the APM tab and the hibernate tab isn't showing. What can I do to disable APM and enable ACPI. I have a Epox 8K7A+. Thank you any help is appreciated.:
