Karr's brother, Nate Karr, told Fox News his brother moved to Alabama to live with his grandparents when he was about 12 and lived there until moving to California in approximately 2001 with his wife and three sons.

To the best of his knowledge, Nate Karr said, his brother has never lived in or been to Boulder. He also said John Karr didn't know the Ramsey family.

Nate Karr suspects his brother raised suspicion among law enforcement because he was researching a book about men who commit sex crimes against young girls, including JonBenet.

Between this and the ex-wife alibi...there are some huge questions raised within the first 24 hours of this guy being arrested.

Was he charged by the police in Thailand for something? I'm think someone busted for child porn in California and then going to the pedo paradise that is Thailand can't be going for 'good' reasons. If so, that may explain why he "confessed"...to get away from the Thai prison system.

QFT... let the justice system figure this one out.

Why is it not surprising at all once you take a look at his pic.

I hear you on that one. Why is it that it's so ften very easy to spot child molestors?

There's no way you'd guess he's a child molester if you saw him just walking down the street. None.

Again QFT, pedophiles and sex offenders look like every other schmuck out there in the world.

If I saw this guy walking down the street, I would immedietly thnk to myself that something was not right with this guy, whether it be sex offender, drugs, or whatever.

Seriously, you can never tell with the average sex offender. With criminals and drug addicts you can, but sex offenders come from every social class and race imaginable. Chances are you know someone that has done date rape or something even worse, but has never been caught. Even the ones that are caught don't look any different than anyone else.

With drugs, it is pretty easy to tell if they are using heavy drugs or alcoholics.

Gang and petty criminals can sometimes be easy to tell because they want you to know their affiliation, but sex offenders come from all walks of life.

You're right, you never can tell who is a sex offender and who is not. But my point was that this guy didnt look like some average joe on the street.

That is very true. He looks sick. Like he has an STD or something. (HIV? probably full blown AIDS)

I saw it earlier today, but when I went to show my wife tonite I got "Invalid Friend ID. This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted."

Anyone get a screenshot of it?

MotionMan

Nope but I can now confirm it was indeed his son.

Not that it will be tho.

Why does it matter what people thought? I'm hopeful for justice in the case but this doesn't affect me personally in the slightest.

<conspiracy theorist>
His response (read in another article) to the "did you kill her" was something like "I was in the room when she was killed". However he was very specific when answering other questions. Seemed like he was dodging that specific one.

Also, the father likely came into a bit of $ from the wife's recent death.

Interesting stuff from the wiki article:

Questions about confession
There is skepticism about Karr's confession, due to inconsistencies between the confession and the evidence. Inconsistencies which appear to support the idea that this was a voluntary false confession are:

He reportedly confessed to drugging JonBenét.[22] However an autopsy found no drugs or alcohol in her system.[23][24]
He said he picked her up from school and brought her back to her home, but it was winter break, and there was no school that day.[22]
His ex wife says that he was with her in Alabama during the entire Christmas season, and not in Colorado at the time of the murder.
Larry Posner, a defense attorney from Denver said, "Is this just an obsessive guy craving his 15 minutes of fame? There are those people who confess under circumstances where we immediately know, this is real. This isn?t one of them."[22] Craig Silverman, another Denver attorney and former prosecutor said, "This confession is nonsensical and it appears to be delusional. To claim this was an accident is ridiculous."[22]

Karr's ex-wife Lara has stated that Karr was in Alabama with her during the entire 1996 Christmas season, when JonBenét was killed.[25] Karr's father, Wexford Karr, has said that his son had never been to Colorado and had no connection to the crime except for his interest in writing about it.[26] Karr's brother has stated in interviews that he spent time with John during the Christmas season in December 1996. At the time, Karr lived in Alabama and his brother lived in Georgia.
