it is not uncommon for a pyschopath to confess in a high profile case like this, to get the "glory" for something they didn't do

i was thinking the same thing but apparently there's physical evidence that can support his claim.

now an ex-wife has an alibi for him. Something doesnt seem right.

there are a lot of holes in this guys story. I really hope the news conference the Boulder DA is having today will clear it up. if this guy really did it, then great lets move on. Also if this guy really did it there are a lot of local talk radio host who will be eating crow. you guys think the national TV host had witch hunt going for John and Patsy you should have heard what the local guys were saying.

What troubles me is the cops really didnt spearhead this arrest. most of the info came from Michael Tracy who just so happens to be releasing a book in the next month about this case. hummmmm.......

The cops must have more than what the press knows. because if the boulder cops fly all the way to Thailand to bring this guy back and it turns out he is a fake, the Boulder PD will have big problems. I really really hope this is the real killer so all this can be put to rest.

That guy's going to spend the rest of his life in prison as a pedophile/child murderer. Must've been a hell of a bribe.

If this confession proves to hold water, it should be one of the most shocking turn of events to the consciences of every american who ignorantly judged the parents as murderers.

Not that it will be tho.

Hooray! It took 10yrs but it finally looks like justice will be served.

I feel so sorry for the family and all the pure hell they have suffered.

I hope much of the media, and the other people who falsely blamed the Ramseys are eaten up with guilt for torturing this poor family:(

Everyone is getting excited kinda like an OJ Simpson trial thing. This case will attract many big shot lawyers who are looking for an international stage to display their talents. The inevitable delays, pretrial stalling and eventual change of venue will push this off of the front pages until next year.

My prediction: Not guilty due to lack of evidence.

I don't know, Karr made some pretty cryptic comments about how the girl died, and considering the reluctance of the parents to assist with the investigation, the odd ransom note... I'm very curious to hear when Karr gives his full account of the murder. It just might bite John Ramsey in the butt.

He's saying he did it, but I have not heard any proof of this other then his confession. When reporters ask him specific details he says "no comment". His ex-wife has an alabi for him and says he's lying.

The parents still could have very much been invovled in it. This guy was into child porn. Maybe the parents tried to make money off their daughter in this way to this guy. Or maybe it was more innocent and they thought this guy was doing something more legit and accepted money for something that involved her but it turned out bad and they all covered it up. I dont know. Something still seems extremely fishy.

those are some huge leaps. but go ahead and keep blaming the family before this guy is totally found out to be real or a fraud.

I dunno - it sounds to me increasingly as though John Karr is just a lone, creepy wacko who had nothing to do with this. We shall see . . .

His brother has more
Karr's brother, Nate Karr, told Fox News his brother moved to Alabama to live with his grandparents when he was about 12 and lived there until moving to California in approximately 2001 with his wife and three sons.

To the best of his knowledge, Nate Karr said, his brother has never lived in or been to Boulder. He also said John Karr didn't know the Ramsey family.

Nate Karr suspects his brother raised suspicion among law enforcement because he was researching a book about men who commit sex crimes against young girls, including JonBenet.

Between this and the ex-wife alibi...there are some huge questions raised within the first 24 hours of this guy being arrested.

Was he charged by the police in Thailand for something? I'm think someone busted for child porn in California and then going to the pedo paradise that is Thailand can't be going for 'good' reasons. If so, that may explain why he "confessed"...to get away from the Thai prison system.

There's no way you'd guess he's a child molester if you saw him just walking down the street. None.

no they won't be eaten up with guilt - in fact they're already coming out of the woodwork saying the guy is lying, no evidence, etc.

In other news, the real killer of OJ's wife and her boyfriend is still on the loose. I wonder how long until they catch the real killer.

There are still some golf courses that OJ hasn't checked out yet.
