SuSE doesn't see my RAID controller

I am trying to install SuSE 7 on a second computer but during the install it can't see the RAID controller and instead lists my 2 hard disks individually...do I need a driver installed for my raid controller before I can continue the installation?

That's pretty normal.

* Install SUSE on IDE-HDD.
* Install the drivers/packages for the RAID-controller.
* Mount your RAID-array.
* Move your data over.

Et voila.
