Yeah, it hasn't been all that great, so far the huge "twists" have been stupid. The only shocking thing is the fact that there's been TWO people who quit so far.

It cracks me up that CBS showed like 3 episodes with naked richard in them but put no parental warning on them, however the 2 seconds where he grinds on sue and the following episode with sue blowing up and quitting both had parental warnings on them.

I'm really gunning for someone to get hurt this season, as long as it isn't Rupert

Yeah Ill make a parallel to the whole superbowl thing..........where Janets boob caused the uproar, while in the commercials Cialis was talking about having 4 hour long erections. :Q
Glad my son didnt hear that and say .............

Jenna - left because she felt bad for being there when her mom was fighting cancer in the hospital. (her mom died 8 days after she left the game)

Sue - so she could sue, got rubbed on by naked Richard during a competition.

Jenna (that won Survivor a couple seasons back and posed in playboy) quit because she was really worried about her mother who was battling cancer. I've heard two stories; that her mother died while she was filming the show or that her mom died shortly after she returned. I never saw any of the follow up interviews with her so I don't know what really happened.

Sue (who was on the first survivor and was semi-famous for telling the runner-up that she wouldn't give them water if they were dying of thirst) threw a fit before a challange. At the previous challange, Richard (who almost always did the challanges nude) rubbed his junk on Sue as they passed a narrow part of the course. My theory is she knew she wasn't going to win, but she thought she'd win a more lucrative lawsuit against CBS for allowing it to happen, which is why she quit.

And let's not forget that Jenna was bitching and moaning about the food, the bugs, the conditions and pretty much everything else on earth for days before quitting "for mom". Her mother was sick when she went off to play the first time and she didn't quit. Her mom was sick before this game started and she still got onto the plane. Her moms health didn't become an issue until the game got hard.

in all fairness i think her mom's condition became more dire while Jenna was there.

and if it were my mom who had cancer she would definitely tell me not to worry about her but to GO and be on the show.

Her condition *might* have become more dire while Jenna was there, but she had no way of knowing that. Survivor players do not communicate with the outside world and Jenna would have no idea if her condition got worse or improved. As far as Jenna knew her condition was exactly the same as when she willingly got on that plane to leave. Her worry didn't begin until after the game got hard.

Ya, that episode was sad. Especially when they showed she died 8 days later. It's a good thing Jenna left and got there in time. Imagine the guilt if she had stayed on?

I really hate that Jerry woman. It pissed me off when Colby got kicked off because of her. I can't wait until she gets voted off.

eh, you don't really know what goes on behind the scenes. i'll bet they gave her word that her mom had went downhill.

There was speculation at the time that a crew member had secretly relayed a messege to her. When she brought up wanting to quit, Jeff even said "you talk like someone has told you she's getting worse" or something like that.

I've always wondered how they'd handle it if a huge event (like 9/11) happened during the taping of Survivor. Would they tell the castaways, or would they just find out the minute they were voted off?
