I thought Redemption Island would be shut down once Ozzie left and reentered the game. That's usually how it operates. But no, they keep sending ousted members off to RI. WTF?

This was the last week for RI. Whoever wins the challenge between Ozzie and Brandon will be in the final 5.

Brandon is retarded, plain and simple. The thing that pisses me off is everyone keeps bowing down to coach. They have ALL GAME. OMFG, You want to get someone out, get him out. He's the biggest threat to all of them. Sophie/Albert/Cowboy/Edna/Cochran... Any of them. They all know they are going out early than final 3... make a move for crying out loud.

last season was the first time redemption island was ever in the game. and they let people back in twice, just like they are doing this season.

if ozzy wins and is back in the game, and makes it to the final 3 ... guaranteed $1 million for him.

So if Brandon beats Ozzy in the challenge, he can say, "It was Tebow's God's plan."

After Brandon gave Albert his necklace, coach should of given Brandon his idol. BOOM, Sophie would be gone, and you have a strong 3 to get Rick gone next.

I'd say he won't lose another challenge and will win handily. I like how he's just out there getting fed. That protein will go a long way.

why would coach do that? he did not want to get rid of sophie, he wanted to get rid of brandon before the immunity challenge. if coach gets to the end with sophie and rick that is like best case scenario for him. although now taking albert is probably better than sophie, since people probably don't like him now.

Keeping Brandon and Albert gives the whole honor and integrity thing going. They preached it the entire season. He would beat both of them easier than Sophie being in the final 3 IMHO, Ozzy is the only possible spoiler for the win.

:hmm: I won't argue as my recollection is hazy ... hazy like the moors of Scotland.

If Ozzie wins the title after being voted out twice ... the game needs fixing IMO.

Note: I haven't watched this week's episode yet.

Why would he had wasted the idol and not simply voted for sophie?

He could of also done that. I just feel giving the idol to Brandon would of put on a better show for the jury. I don't think he needs the idol for himself.

I think coach has the hidden immunity idol, so they can't go after him.

Edna and Cochran are already gone. Ozzy beat them on RI too. They're now on the jury.

He has not needed it yet, but who is to say about the next vote? It's pretty much always dumb to give away immunity, and why would he do it for a dumb-ass like Brandon?

The final is tonight. I thought it was going to start at 9:00 local and the TV guides says it should be on right now but it's not.

edit.

OK it starts 30 min later then what it was suposed to.

People who set their dvr to record it are going to be pissed.

Wish coach would had won it as he played a better game but he made too many enemies as he was the leader of the tribe that voted everyone else out about.

Looks like sophie needs to go back to the island for a few weeks as it looks like she plumped up a bit.

Sadly, the rules of the game are such that the tribe is incented (after the tribes merge) to eliminate the players that are known to be liked by those already on the jury. This virtually guarantees that the jury members are left to vote for the "lesser of the evils". The only way "Coach" wins is to bring along two people who are bigger jerks than he is (quite a challenge), and his mistake was getting rid of Brandon rather than Sophie.

Too bad Ozzie came up an immunity challenge short; he would have won all the jury votes except Sophie's.

I now stand by my statement about how Coach should of given Brandon the idol.

Screwing his tribe like that would had got him voted out the next time.

Not to mention sophie is the only reason Ozzy didn't win the last challenge.

I hate the fact Sophie won, total coat-tail rider. It should have been Coach or Albert. They really need to change how the endgame is voted. While it is a game of personal relationships, its also a game about surviving, and the final vote can be brutal to someone who has done what they need to survive.

That doesn't mean someone else couldn't of beaten Ozzy. She needed to go, even Albert knew it. They didn't mention Brandon, but they did ask about other people being in the final 3 with Coach, they would of given Coach the win.

The fact is she was the only one that beat him in that challenge and he was a somewhat close 2nd and no one else was close so without her ozzy would had won it as brandon was not that good at them also.

You can say someone could had beat him but by what we saw it wouldn't had happened.

I totally disagree. Sophie won 3 individual immunity challenges which is more than Coach and Albert combined. She won the critical last challenge in order to vote out their biggest threat in Ozzie. She also vetoed any plans that Albert may have had to flip to the other side after the merge. Albert may have never intended to flip but Sophie was more consistent in staying with the plan. The editing sometimes made the past women winners seem less deserving but anyone who can get the jury to vote for them definitely deserved to win.

congrats sophie!

i wanted coach to win, because like cochran said, i think he played the best all around game.

but sophie played well too, and albert was the least deserving of the 3. glad he got 0 votes.

The $64,000 question is whether "total coat-tail rider" is a weak player or a brilliant one. That's what the game is devolved to, the players that get voted out get hurt feelings and become crybabies and automatically turn against the person they see as the instrument of their own failures. The "leader" is not respected for leading, for forging alliances or for orchestrating strategies. They're just blamed by most of their victims for being better at the game than the victim was. So the weak "total coat-tail rider" wins by default. We've seen it happen many times from Tina back in season 2, Sandra twice, and again here with several more in between. Latch onto a stronger player, let them do the dirty work and make enemies and you collect the votes they lose. It's a valid strategy and an effective one. So can you really look down on somebody that adopts it and wins with it? Maybe Sophie and Sandra are great players by simply recognizing that the leaders will eventually screw themselves and maybe they're playing that sort of game intentionally rather than because they lack the ability to make bigger, bolder moves. Blame the game, not the player.
