SURVIVOR - PEARL ISLAND - 9/18/03

Last season really put some life back into Survivor, after that boring season 5 in Thailand. I'm looking forward to it!

It was good, and I agree.. this one should be good.

Survivor and Fear Factor are the only "reality" tv shows I really care for.

They're the only ones that are somewhat genuine, and aren't just out to fsck with people for the sake of fscking with them. It's kinda cool when you think about it. They've taken the traditional gameshow to a whole new level.

What do you mean?

It's a game show. They do traditional game show things, just with a disgusting or difficult twist.

It is not the same as those Fifth Wheel, and Who Wants to Date My Dad and other garbage shows like that, where they do do as stated above.

Lots of MALE nudity. Buncha guys who can't keep their pants up. So far, a fairly unattactive cast of women and they seem to be staying clothed. Watched the first episode and it's the usual collection of media whores, actress wannabes and cut rate Machiavellis who start plotting with all the subtlety of a lovesick rooster let loose in a hen house. So far there's exactly one person who's worthy of interest, Rupert. He's a hippie throwback who stole the shoes of the opposing tribe to be able to buy more stuff for his own and took to wearing a flowered mini skirt when his own denim jeans were too heavy, waterlogged and uncomfortable. I'm rooting for him just for the glee with which he ripped off the other tribe.

I still wouldn't watch it.

I wish ALL of those "reality" shows would just fade away. People are vain and egotistic enough as it is.

i personally love the reality shows...they are great to watch.
