Been stuck on it for several episodes now. The Coasta Rican rainforest wast the best episode so far. Some fun survival techniques to be learned too.

Still work retail? Just curios because I remember your response to my post about buying the dell 30" monitor on a small income.

Yes

I read on some sight that he is not going to be doing any more.:(
IIRC he will being outdoor shows just no more 7 days alone. Kinda like that "Man vs. Wild".

God no.

This is the most perplexing response to a thread ever. What's wrong with it?

Perhaps you were thinking Man vs Wild

The show is great. I catch it when I can.

I saw a sort of "the making of" episode where they showed how he picks his adventure and what not. He usually goes a week early and finds the local wisemen/outdoorsmen and gets the lowdown on what local plants are good to eat and what are bad. They had outtakes and bloopers too.

The biggest thing he hates is carrying around all the cameras. He sets up those shots where he walks into the distance, and then he has to walk all the way back, and then walk off into the distance with the camera again. In this episode they showed sped up footage of him walking over a ledge, then coming back, and turning the camera off. One time he got all pissed because he came back and realized he forgot to hit "record". :p

I like the blatant shot at Bear when he says about staying in hotels.

I bought Les' survival book and it's pretty cool, I think this summer I'm actually going to take a survival course.
we probably all should. if the mayan calendar doesn't bring us down, socialism probably will ;)
