I used to donate, O neg here. My blood tested for a false negative. I don't have anything but the FDA disallows false negatives to donate. :(

I donate about once every year or two, I know many give blood more often than I do, however I guess I'm too lazy to do it more often.

I go pale just walking into the donation center when I take my brother to donate blood. I HAVE to read the same stupid magazines over and over to keep my mind off the whole thing or else I break out in a cold sweat and want to pass out.
I get like that whenever I see like, surgeries and stuff. (I can barely stand watching ER sometimes.)

If I could prevent that, I would, and I would donate as often as possible. It's just a natural reaction that probably couldn't be broken. It's near the top of the list when people ask the question "If you could change something about yourself..."

But I can't.

It was hard as hell when my school sponsored a blood drive and I saw a guy packing the bags of blood into a cooler. My teacher decided to take our health class down to watch him give blood. We sat there and watched... and I went white as.. something white... and was drenched in sweat. Not fun, don't care to repeat it.

I just donated my first time in october as part of a school sponsored blood drive. Next one up is feb 4th... and damn sure, I'm gonna be there to give blood.

They should include this on the thank you letter they send out:

"thank you for letting us tap into a resource that is worth more than oil, gold, any material worth any monitary amount... you're giving something priceless... life!"

TB makes you ineligible? Well then I am ineligible, because I was exposed to TB. Went through the whole medication process.

I almost fainted, and fell off the second story of the mall when I tried. So I'm not trying again in the near future.

I have a reverse jesus problem where if I'm around blood, I turn it into wine and everyone gets drunk.

Something about paying for sex...

Actually it's primarily convenience, I'm never in a place to do it.

Once I have my cornea transplant(s) I'll be ineligible anyway.

I give blood every three or four months. Sometimes they come to my job and usually I try to time it with that.
It's quick and easy and doesn't hurt. The worst thing used to be when they pricked your finger but they've even fixed that up. If you are eligible to give blood then you should.

I voted other.

Because I was stationed in Germany for 3 years and all the US bases over there got their beef from england. So because of the mad cow scare a few years ago, Bonfils has banned anybody who lived in europe for an extended period of time for the fear of passing on mad cow.

The sameday a guy at work got his 25 gallon pin the van was here to get blood. he was ahead of me in line and they banned him too. he was really pissed.

Once my 6 months are up I'll consider giving blood again.

i've always read a year. that's my usual excuse anyway. i haven't gone long enough between sessions to be eligible to donate.

I'm ineligible because I lived in Europe for more than 6 months.

And yes, you have to wait a year after getting any piercings or tattoos.
