Does my AV reciever remote which can control everything count as a universal remote, even though it is "specific" to a component?

Is there anything you wish was remotely controlled but isn't?

First thing that came to mind is women... and it should have 2 mute buttons, in case the first one breaks down from wear and tear.

Thanks so much for all the responses everyone. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

I always get a kick out of the "What do you wish you could control" responses :)

So, the AV receiver and default controllers that control multiple devices count as a universal remote in my mind. It's no big deal if you counted it as otherwise though!

Thanks,
-Kevin

Didn't load for me so I didn't take it. The universal remotes comments had intrigued me too.

completed. would you do me a favor too? http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2052536 :sneaky:

I'm pretty sure that some devices can not be controlled by a universal remote like sanyo projectors. I think they are just milking it and charging tons for replacements. Big problem in schools with thieving pupils and air headed teachers
