surveillance cameras?

No I'm not hiding it in the girls locker room, but I do want to know whos knocking on my door before I let them know I'm home. I know they make tons of them, but I wouldn't mind having one that simply uses a lan connection only. They sell those AXIS 2100 Network Cameras on thinkgeek.com, but It is too obvious. Any suggestions?

3. Hopefully with only a lan connector and the rest self contained
4. Used for seeing whos at my door before I let them know I'm home
 
Yeah, that one is pretty nice, but I really need one that looks like a porch light or something you'd see on a porch, I doubt some of those clock / teddy bear / vcr ones would not be suspicious

It sounds like it doesn't come with a power supply, they sell them there though. They sell mostly electronic components, so don't expect retail packaging or a manual or anything like that.
 
I have a small wireless one in the corner over the front door...the camera is actually black and its surrounded by white paint. You would be surprised how many people completely miss the thing, although I did have one instance where the chinese guy that came to deliver my chinese food saw the camera and then HID from it! When I got to the front door, I saw his arm holding out the bag of food whilst he hid behind the front porch. Weird, to say the least! 😉
