Surround speaker test

Is there a program that exists that I could use to test the capabilities of my sound card/speaker system?

To test the surround, THX, positional, etc. capabilities of the system?

the Toy Story 2 DVD has a test,

what sound card you using? there should have been a test.

I have an nForce from MSI with logitech Z-560.

I use the CNR card as rear audio out.

The thing is I usually manage to get it to work under some conditions but on some others (like DVD) it usually doesn't work.

And for the THX sound files on kazaa... Hum mp3's are not supposed to keep only stereo information? I'm not sure but I don't think
a mp3 can hold surround informations... am I right?

Most THX certified DVD movies have the THX optimizer on them as well. Run that from a softDVD player.
