Surround in NFS Underground 2

Does NFS UND 2 have 5.1 surround support? In the game options you can only choose mono and stereo, but in the reviews they say it supports Dolby Surrount 5.1, I am confused!
I have a Sound Blaster Audigy and Klipsch 5.1 setup if that helps.

reviews for which platform ? I'm sure XBOX has it...

which platform are you playing ? If it's for PC, I only saw up to Stereo.
