Well... that's one less candidate who'd nuke a country if it earned him a buck.

I don't know anyone who actually thought he'd run for anything. That's too bad, he would have been the most entertaining of the bunch of folks with no chance to win.

He was never a serious candidate. He's done this "run for President" thing before. It was all just a PR stunt for The Donald.

He was an entertainer doing it for the publicity... it's sad that so many people were suckered into letting him set the discussion.

Well considering Obama's plan was more like the one backed by repubs in the 90's it's hard for Newt to really avoid it. I'm surprised by his bluntness though. I still think he's got some Clintonian in him, but that just means he's hurting his primary chances now.

O! Mi! GD! Someone remembers the "contract with America! Obame-care just a Republican comb over? Righties can't, cannot, no way admit to that.

Trump would split the retard vote and a third option like Ron Paul would win the nomination. Think of the children!!!

Even flies need a nice warm pile of filth to breed in and if they're dying off its just a sign the money is drying up.

This^

The only surprise to me is that Trump dropped out rather unceremoniously. I was thinking he'd a least make a big deal about it. Huckabee hyped his announcement to try and get increased ratings for his show.

he probably wanted to hold a live press conference or something immediately following the finale for The Apprentice, but NBC forced his hand -- they needed to make the decision today whether or not Trump would be hosting the next season of The Apprentice.

all 2 of them?

this is pretty normal for the pre-primary process.

public figures flirt with running to either test the waters, get publicity, or get their name out there as a potential VP.

Anyone who thought he was actually serious about running probably need to come out from under the rock they live under every once in awhile. That or their mom's basement.
