Surpassing CoolBits overclocking limits?

Just got my Gainward 128MB Ti4200 ("Golden Sample"), this card has Samsung 4ns chips and has zero problems at NVIDIA's max overclocked settings--315/560 core/mem 🙂 (I ran Artifact Tester at "hardcore" setting, lots of 3dmarks--to see my results, search for "golden sample" in this thread. GTA3 had no problems, either.

Now I want to find its true limits... can you modify the CoolBits regentry for higher speeds, or do you need a utility?
Thanks
Leo

you can extend coolbits overclocking but you will need to do it from the reg and it will be trial and error til you get right.

Err, I'm using Det40 as you probably guessed... I can do it the hard way, by changing the BIOS with NV bios editor -- this unlocks higher OC frequencies. I guess I'll try that for now.

Set "native speed" to 275/550 to further testing...

Artifact Tester detects no memory artifacts up through 655MHz! :Q
EDIT: Unfortunately ATester isn't good enough... 3dmark2001se artifacts down to 620mhz.. now testing 610...

EDIT2: Well it takes going down to exactly 600mhz to eliminate that one annoying artifact in Dragothic 3dmark benchmark.

Hmm.. these keys are gone from CoolBits in my XP registry... but the bios change worked anyway 🙂

It didn't seem to do anything for me... strange... but in any case, the bottom line is my problem is already solved 🙂
