Because it helps us deal with the human condition (plus it's also entertaining to watch PC butt pirates like yourself get all indignant)

"Martinez, a tailor, and his wife, who is a supermarket cashier, together make about $200 a month and have two other children, aged 4 and 1."

Is it me, or should people with certain incomes NOT be constantly breeding?

Note where they live, that's probably a perfectly decent income there.

[EDIT]Just checked, their annual income of $2400 is ABOVE the national average. They're doing just fine.[/EDIT]

Is it me, or should people with their head embedded in their ass NOT be allowed to post?

The Dominican Republic is the 2nd or third poorest country in the western hemisphere.

purchasing power parity - $6,300 (2002 est.)

So they are still a bit low, but not necessarily poor, for their country.

Lets say they lived here, and were making a "decent" amount of money working at the same jobs they are now. Even though they would be making a lot more than $200 a month, it still takes more money then they have to support 3 kids. Without a doubt, whichever society they live in, the kids will live a poor life and be neglected. Simple as that. You can't raise an infant, a 1 year old and a 4 year old like that despite what you say.

rephrased: "blah blah I'm an idiot i didn't look where they lived. Now I'm trying to not look like an idiot and make crap up to support what i said. oh crap. in the future i will try to know what the fvuck i am talking about"

anyway..NOT everywhere in the world does it cost that much to live. where they live $200 is enough to support them.

Did any doctors ever speculate on what might happen if they left the baby alone? As in, how exactly did the other head threaten the babies developement?

Not that I'm saying they should have left well enough alone, just curious about what would happen.

It would have killed her as the other head would put to much presure on her primary brain.

There wasn't enough room in the head(s?) for two developing brains.

Sad that she died. :( It seems kinda unbelievable that they couldn't stop the bleeding though. Isn't that something thats pretty simple to do these days?

Friends and family donated almost 4 gallons of blood for surgeons to use during Rebeca's operation.
