surgeon general sanjay gupta?

yes, the CNN guy... CNN's got it as breaking news that Obama approached him about a job, with the headline of "CNN Dr. as Possible Surgeon General."

Since Sanjay would no longer be a CNN employee, how does this help them? Cut of his salary, perhaps?

Do you even stop to think about the nonsense you write?

It's not a high-level post. It could be a good choice. He has the technical qualifications and his broadcast/writing experience will aid in the communications skills that are needed.

It's funny because it's true.

It's neither funny nor true. I invite you give a logical explanation for how CNN benefits from this.

As a matter of fact, it hurts CNN more than it helps them. Tell me, do you think that Obama hiring Oprah onto his staff would help or hurts ABC?

It benefits CNN because now they have somebody inside on the administration and Gupta can give all the juicy stories exclusively to CNN. He may not be employed by the communist news network anymore but you can bet he'll still collaborate.

Think man, think.

You're not thinking at all, if you concluded that the surgeon general has any sort of inside information that makes this beneficial for CNN. The fact is the revenue they lose from having a popular employee hired away from them, cannot be compensated for in the manner you describe. The surgeon general almost never makes news, and certainly doesn't have access to anything juicy.

Moreover, if Obama wanted to give CNN inside stories, why wouldn't he simply leak the stories to them directly instead of using the freaking Surgeon General as a mole. You think that presidential administrations don't have someone assigned to leak stories to the press, someone both closer to the president and who's better at knowing what to leak? Why would going through Sanjay be desirable or more efficient.

Your conspiracy theories don't even have internal logic. You're really not making sense here.

Gupta's a real M.D. with public experience. What's your problem... other than being a sore loser because your loser lost?

I don't particularly like Dr. Gupta either, but watching the crazies cook up some sort of CNN/White House conspiracy is pretty entertaining.

"close to a done deal" according to a CNN correspondent on the Situation Room, who said that Gupta has approached the powers that be at CNN about getting out of his contract.

It would be tampons, but those are too costly......

On a side note theres a good chance there wont be enough trees to cut down to get enough kleenex for the the republicans after the last 8 FREAKIN years of the crying going on in this forum.

I'm just kidding man. I'm actually really enjoying this election cycle. I get to to watch people take the exact opposite position that they've had for years. People that I've disagreed with in the past (but held a huge amount of respect for thier conviction) seem to have lost all focus.
