Surge protector question

Can 1 surge protector be plugged into another one, daisy chain fashion?

The devices involved include:

Desktop PC
CRT Monitor
Laptop
Printer
Lamp
Cordless Phone

There may be 1 or 2 small devices added later (clock/radio, 2nd lamp, etc.) This is why the second surge protector is needed. And plugging it into a wall outlet is not an optpion.

I'm more concerned with safety aspects than with anything else.

Why not just get a surge protector that won't cause that problem? I've had this one for several years: Text.

For personal use, I use this. This question is for a friend who has no budget to get different ones.

You can also buy Power Strip Liberators - they are small 1-foot extension cords, solves the problem no matter how many bricks you have.

Yup, I think I may have a few extra new ones. Let me know if you are interested.

OdiN and amdskip: Great suggestion on the liberators. I actually just bought a bunch. I was unclear in my original post about how many devices I would be using. I will need the 2nd surge protector just for number of plugs alone.
