I am looking into getting some surge protection for my computer, but I dont want to spend 100 for a UPS system. I am running a 350 watt machine. does anybody have any suggestions other that UPS? thanks.
They have FAR 350VA surge protectors once in a while, and even if not, they're like $20. I have two cheap surge protectors daisy chained onto my APC 350VA, one for the surge side, and the other for the surge+battery side.
Whenever the power goes out, it starts beeping, then I quickly save stuff and shut down. IE since they're so cheap, it's worth finding one for ~$20ish even if you can't wait for a free one to happen.
