surfing anonymously

Would appreciate anyone sharing their experience and recommondations
for software that will allow me to surf in stealth mode.Especially
if I am posting to a message board.(not this one tho)Am embroiled in a political struggle and need to post anonymously.It needs to be a reliable program...Anybody have a reccomendation that you would use for protection?

Good luck finding a solution that really works!
Specially if you are using Windows 9x. That OS has to many holes and no matter what software you you employ it would still be pretty easy for someone crack into.

What about a proxy server like safe web, or space proxy. I use them at some message boards just because of the crowd that is there.

A friend of mine uses Freedom. I have never used it, but he seems to like it.

Thanks guys.This is exactly what I was asking!Safeweb or freedom etc.Is there any way to find out (beforehand)if they actually work

The ones I gave are free, give 'em a try. There may be only a few that work good, and sometimes one may be down. It's good to keep backups, or the referal page on file.
