In the history of stupid moves that windsurfing incident may go down in as one for the books. What was he/they thinking?

The ad is full of half truths (if you want to debate them, do a back search) but I am sure will be effective as how can you defend a windsurfer? Stupid ass should have been on a jet ski or something else with some balls!

Well you've gotta talk about something else when your record is...well Bush's record.

Iraq is fine; the CIA was just guessing don't you know...

Got to give credit where credit is due. Purely as a piece of political agitprop, that ad is a classic.

Somewhere in either Valhalla of Hell, Joseph Goebbels is grinning and goose stepping. Heil fives all around!

Or the electorate is tired of childish attack ads and it backfires.

Know what is funny? There area ton of issue based topics in the forums where very few of you will join the conversation and debate. But put up one Kerry bashing topic and the right wingers come out of their corner and join the circle jerk. That says alot about where you guys stand (or don't stand) on issues.

If that's honestly what you see, then you are truly blinded by partisanship. There are so many "OMG - Bush is teh dumb!" me-too posts in each and every topic, it's a wonder any rational discussion ever takes place. Just look at the 3 political sticky topics at the top - hmm, the one anti-Bush one has almost as many replies as the other 2 combined. Yeah, most of them are problably just "liberals" politely discussing the issues - no 'right-wingers' in there engaged in debate, oh no.

Hell, no matter what the topic is, you can almost guarantee that is will be a misplaced anti-Bush comment that brings the entire thread into OT territory.

Yeah, those damn 'repugs' sure can drag down a high-brow discussion on 'issues.'

The ad is effective to whom it was targetted.... themselves. I doubt many people, independents mind you, can look at that ad and think anything but "sigh".

Can't the Bush campaign come up with anything more concrete or substantial?

Nope, that's pretty much it. A pity, isn't it?

Kerry's positions do seem to change with time. I'm sure it's trackable for all politicions.

I think the real questoin is "Why should they?" Obviously, they are doing pretty well with what they have, and Kerry isn't exactly hurting the Bush re-election campaign, now is he? ;)

Man...they are playing an even better Windsurfing ad already. I don't think it is Bush approved, but it is hillarious.

Where? The original link leads to the same ad.
