Surface Tablet without problems and long battery life

What is your definition of good battery life? I get 8+ hrs on my surface 3 (unless I play games). Don't have any problems, just a tad slow.
 
I have a SP2, and it's still powerful enough for my mobile needs. The battery life is not that great, and it's also plagued by sleep/wake problems, something that has yet to be fixed despite MS's multiple efforts (including reports of this in the SP3/4/Book). I want to like the new devices, but the problems are big ones.
