Hey guys, i've got a Qlogic QLE2462 dual port 4Gb/s fc card that I'd
like to repair but it's missing a couple components. One looks to be
a surface mount inductor and has 1R0 on it. The other is a capacitor
of some sort but I don't have a way of knowing what its exact specs
are. I was able to repair a QLE2460 because it just had detached caps
that were still connected on one side but I'm not sure how or where to
order these components.

here are pics

Section missing components.
Complete section (same board, different spot).

The Inductor:

1R0 on a SMT inductor usually means xRy, where R = decimal point so 4R7 = 4.7, units in microhenries (uH). So thats probably a 1.0uH inductor.

The Capacitor:

Sorry no idea. If you know someone with a LC meter or capacitance meter you can desolder the known good one off the other card and measure it.

As to tolerances / current handling requirements, I don't know.

Can you look up the IC they're connected to - usually a cardmaker doesn't deviate too much from a reference design given by the IC manufacturer. The reference design schematic should give you a parts list down to the device manufacturer.

I usually buy my components from Digikey - you don't need any special account and they ship cheap/fast with USPS.

Good luck.

I was afraid I'd have to desolder the good one, but that should be relatively easy since I've gotten quite used to my heat gun now.
