Surface Mini + Motion detection - Tomshardware

If this is true then I really have to question what Microsoft is doing. This should not be in a small screen tablet, Baytrail and full windows 8.1 should be where the 10.6" Surface 2 is, and the Tegra 4 with Windows RT should be in the 7-8" tablet. Reason being that desktop mode is not very usable on a small device, and since RT doesn't run desktop apps it's not an issue with the smaller screen. Also as phone and mini tablet sizes converge having RT on a mini tablet is a good step towards merging RT with Windows Phone. If MS is going to release this BT mini tablet I hope they listen to there customers and also release a 10.6" version.

Having a range of size options would be ideal. However I would be fine with running 8.1 on a small 7-8" tablet. As long as battery life was decent. Having access to full apps appeals to me.
