I don't know if these are great deals but here is a bunch of high output flashlights, most are a lot less then 70 bucks... the PILA G3 Flash Light looks like a nice one... Then you can get a bunch of replacement batteries here for $1.65 per cell +shipping...

edit: first link doesn't work well, under the combo box that says new releases, select flashlights

Cool site, tlowing. That's a cool looking small flashlight, too. I thought maybe it was a bit high in price until I found my Streamlight unit on their site for over a hundred bucks. :Q Too bad they don't have replacement batteries for it. Off topic aside: does anyone know if I can make my own rechargable cells for a streamlight? I think mine's nearing the end of its life since I leave it always charging. Bad idea, I know.

BARtMAN, not sure what that first link was to, but my Corporate Info Security page popped up when I clicked on it! LOL.

Bump for some awesome flashlights. Surefire has some great products. Alas I really don't need anything of that sort. Be careful with these things you'll be seeing spots for quite some time if you catch an eyeful.

Well I looked at these surefire flashlights for quite awhile. I was sick and tired of my 2D maglight being a "high end" flashlight, it was a peice of crap. I finally invested in the Smith & Wesson FL7 which goes on sale at big 5 sporting goods all the time. Retail is like $100 but I got it for $40, which is not hard to find. It ROCKS.

It comes with a car charger, and a home charger. The top part of the flashlight is whole light assembly, and the bottom half where you would normaly expect to find a hollow body where you put the batteries, actually is one big ass battery. It has a super nice finish, is water resistant to 50 meters, and, as you will read, it has no black spot in the middle of your light (this is done by a fixed focus lens, you can't adjust the beam like on a mag)

You can read about it here http://ss02.lynk-systems.com/southernpoliceequip/html/product477.html

I am going to mount this one in my truck, then I am going to pick up the fl10 for my home. There is a guy on ebay that sells the fl10 for about 45$

This thing is a heck of a weapon too.

P.S. here is a link to the guy who sells them on ebay http://www.stores.ebay.com/ediscountbike/plistings/list/fixed/dept6/?col=4&dir=1

Usual disclaimer, not affiliated etc, just happy with the product
