Sure reboot for MSI Pro 2

I just found that in trying to get my MSI Pro 2/Duron 650 to clock higher ...that when it locks at restart (black screen)...I can hit the reset switch on my Antec case ...and hold down control/insert as it is coming back up ...and I can then access the bios. No more case opening....yea!

Neat thing also ..it puts the speed back lower to reboot (not always 650...odd?) ...but the rest of the bios ....so far is staying the same, not changing. That has been a pain ...resetting everything.

I just go in ...tweak the speed, and bring her up again. Right now she is at 103x8.5=876/1.80. I had her at 893 ..but she was not very stable there. I still think I need to get me some Artic Silver ... and that will help me to go even higher.

Maybe you should try to get a male Duron and then, all of a sudden, you have another one for free...nice deal! 😉
 
Very cute! Seeing as I am about to marry ...it may be that I need to have this one neutered.
Seeing you have a Pro 2 ...have you done any overclocking ...and did you know to do this ...rather than open the case every time it locks up.

No sorry, I haven't done any serious overclocking and I don't plan to do so...I only played around with the FSB but that was just for fun and didn't yield any good results.
