I must say I am quite impressed aiglx+beryl performance.
Running marvelously on:

2.8HT p4
1GB ddr2
integrated i915 graphics.
ubuntu 6.10

Now if only it would run that well on my x1000 series ATI card

I just got Beryl going on PClos TR2.
Although I'm sure I haven't explored all the features yet.
Is pretty cool.
Am using a Nvidia Geforce 6200

Looks and eyecandy are actually a lot more important than people think plus its fun as heck just messing around with the several effects and plugins Beryl has to offer.
