Not sure how many of you go here for anything, but I happened to check it tonight before I went to bed and saw this for the frontpage. Made me mad because I like finding older music on the site. Anyone know if this is true or if it is just the start of April Fools Day? After all, the date reads April 1. Just figured I'd ask here first.
 
Neither; I thought it was pretty clear I was asking a question. I don't know if it's true or not, and was just curious if anyone heard or knew anything about it.
 
Before you believe something online today, check the calendar. Also, check the time that was posted at.

Edit: You fool! A p2p website buying a satellite to orbit over Japan. Honestly, use a little brain power...

Some people just can't manage to fathom that they're not the only ones on the planet. I'm not an idiot because I asked, and as for the calendar remark, read the first line again.
 
April Fools joke, nothing more. Also just so you know if you read slashdot 9 out of every 10 topics posted today will also be april fools.

Thanks, just wanted to be sure because I searched for torrents and it didn't find any, and just 3 or 4 hours ago I was downloading them.

I sure do love the pricks that post here at night as opposed to the civilized that post here in the mornings and early afternoon.

Regardless, that one guy's response held animosity that was uncalled for. I asked a simple question to confirm what I thought at the time, and got a bunch of idiots replying instead.

Well, okay, I could see how you could believe the first part.

Also, since we got so many donations this time, we decided we will buy a satellite, that will be orbiting Japan's space and that is where SuprNova will be hosted. The satellite will be sent it to space today at 5 PM GMT. We hope that the take off will be smooth and there will be no problems...

I never believed one thing or the other, I just figured it was a joke, but wanted to clarify my assumption. Assuming things is never good when you're tired.

I told you I was tired. I wouldn't know, I mean I'm sure thousands of people have donated. The only part about the satellite that WOULDN'T be possible would be the governments of countries allowing them to do so with no media coverage at all.
