I doubt they are updating how bittorrent works... maybe making a new client or something that helps you search for torrents or something. Maybe something to replace bittorrent or is based on bittorrent.

Bittorrent originally wasn't realy intended for warez crap, it's just a way to move large files to a lot of people in a effecient manner.

Doing anything to just change the method of offering warez isn't going to help them at all. They'd still be shut down irregardless. They offered a site with links to warez. They didn't have to host them or even track the torrents, simply the fact that they showed you where to get them got them in trouble.

Well if Bittorrent is designed to transmit warez, then the internet is designed to transmit stolen credit card numbers, and www is designed to transmit porn.

You can use FTP for warezing, it doesn't mean that FTP was designed for people to steal stuff over. It's a file transfer protocol isn't it?

Bittorrent is designed to transmit large files in a quick way, that's it. What people use it for is their own business. If you realy want to know what the author was thinking, it was mostly to transmit free programs and Linux install cdroms, which is were I first seen it used and I use it alot for that purpose.
