"The Supreme Court on Tuesday denied a request from Pennsylvania Republicans to block certification of the commonwealth's election results..."

"The Supreme Court's action is a crushing loss for Trump, who suggested as late as Tuesday that he thought the justices -- including three of his nominees -- might step in and take his side..."

Even the Supremes are distancing themselves. Hopefully this sounds the death knell for Trump's hopes.

One sentence denial. Trump's crack legal team marches on.

While good news, what's still disturbing about this is that Trump and the Republicans actually believed that the SCOTUS could be politicized into overturning an election for them.

Apparently, there are hold outs claiming it will all be over turned with some case from Texas.

I thought it was over to. I guess we wait until next week.

I was relieved to see this decision was 9-0.

The most hilarious part of all of this is that if the Democrats had done 1/10th of what Trump and the Republicans are doing now, in 2016, or after a 2020 loss, the Republican party would RIGHTLY call it TREASON.

The Republican Party is full of TREASONOUS CRIMINALS.

Safely owning and operating a firearm is not a right, it's a responsibility.

Please forgive worthless Moonbeam for saying this: "But there are proper and improper ways in which a person is allowed to cheat their way into a government position." Some bridges are still just too far. Everybody knows that when you shamelessly gain a position you immediately protect your turf by applying the breaks to anything that allowed you in. In a dog eat dog world nobody wants competition.

SCOTUS is gutless. They didn't have the balls to state who voted to dissent. Hiding the truth from the public.

It's how Dump's brain works, I appointed you to the SC so in the future you're saddled with voting for me no matter what, right?, WRONG, SCOTUS appointments are lifetime idiot, they're free to LOL at your asinine suits your "team" might get up here.

You mean the suit brought by the AG who is under indictment and probably looking for a Trump pardon ?

Oh, and the lawsuit.

How many more times and ways can Trump lose the election?

It's pretty telling when 3 Trump appointees to the USSC don't back him,...

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, trump is an uber loser and everything he touches and those who serve him end up becoming losers too.

It’s almost as if he made a deal with the devil. The devil offered him fame and praise and trump took the deal thinking all he had to do was give up his soul. However unbeknownst to trump was that the devil would give him fame and praise but he’d be the biggest loser on the planet.

It wouldn't be the first time.

I absolutely think the 6-3 conservative majority would have stolen this election for Trump if it were possible. But flipping one state wouldn't accomplish that. Now if flipping one state was enough to swing this election? I expect the conservatives on the court would have. Probably would have slapped on one of those bullshit "This decison doesn't set prescedent" brandings they've done in the past too. They just need a prize juicy enough to stain their legacy. This one wasn't it.

It is good to see we are getting close to booting these fascists, from their present government housing/the White House.

As long as Republicans control a majority of state legislatures, voting rights are going to be an issue. The efforts to suppress Democrat leaning voters are only going to increase and it’s an area that the current Supreme Court has already signaled that it will be hands off as far as they are concerned.

Republican controlled battleground states will probably end easy mail in voting and registration. They’ll continue to decrease the number of voting places in urban areas. To have a chance of winning, Democrats will have to somehow bring their greater numbers into play while laboring under increasingly shit rules.

The radicalization of conservative lawyers shouldn't be taken lightly either. The attorneys backing of Trump will not disappear from the political scene alongside Trump. Nor will their aides, many of whom are fellow Federalist Society members with aspirations for higher office. These "lawyers" represent the next generation of the Republican Party, and they have no qualms about disenfranchising 80 million Americans to seize the presidency.

This is another reason to expand the courts. As it stands now it is for all intents and purposes -impossible- for Democrats to ever have a legislative majority in a significant number of states because gerrymandering has gotten so bad.

Take Pennsylvania, for example. In 2018 Republicans lost the vote by ELEVEN points. Did they lose their majority? Not even close. They still had a majority of nearly 20 seats!

Partisan gerrymandering has to be declared unconstitutional for the entire country. It’s the only way for voters to get their power back.

DC statehood for the win!
