SupremeFX vs. X-Fi

One of the mobo's I'm researching (ASUS Striker Extreme) for my new Vista system has SupremeFX audio (with daughter card). Does anyone know much about it? How does it compare to X-Fi? This may be an SLI setup (still deciding), so expansion slots are precious to me (there's a dedicated one just for the SupremeFX, so it doesn't really take up any extra space to use it, but X-Fi of course would). Is X-Fi worth it? Audio is important to me, though I'll have a 2.1 setup as my desk really isn't conducive to anything more. Opinions definitely appreciated!
