I just got Supreme Commander and both it and the bonus discs say "NTSC" on the label (in fact, both labels are identical except one has no part number). It's in the same little rectangle you'd see on console games.

Why? PCs and their games have never had anything to do with the mess of Television standard compatibility seen in the home video game console market due to the fact that they relied on monitors standardized worldwide. Are they being sloppy and just using it to designate the intended region? That's pretty stupid considering that this is not the only place with 60hz AC and NTSC TV> Not to mention, the fact that NTSC's days are numbered (literally) and soon it will be all about ATSC (and NTSC TVs will require a converter box).

Nope. It launches a web browser and plays some videos or soundtrack excerpts. It must come from the game's console origins where even there it supported HDTV resolutions (which will work in other countries). Weird.
