Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance Map Editor

I would really love to be able to create my own maps for SC:FA, and I kept hearing talk about how an editor was just around the corner in 2007. I can't find anything online resembling an editor for SC:FA.

Is there one? If so, can someone post a link? If not, does anyone know why?

I heard about it but never saw it.
I'm not a huge fan of either game but I do enjoy it once in a while.
Cant imagine why they wouldnt release one, other than the obvious fact it doesnt make them any money.

Games today are so expensive to produce and companies want so much damn money for so little work, it seems like anything that wont directly contribute to the bottom dollar is ignored.

Shame because with those 80km by 80km maps I'm sure somebody could do some wild stuff.

I think the official editor is just pre-alpha and was never finished by GPG. Some people prefer to use the unofficial editor. There are a good deal of user made maps out there and many of them are a lot of fun: http://forums.gaspowered.com/v...b7ff9676834d233865b36f

Talk as much shit as you want about gpg, but supcom is a top notch rts that is horribly underrated by a bunch of casual gamers who don't understand its depth and competitive play.

i agree. i thought i'd discovered everything there was to discover in single player.

the game really started for me when i started multi and got my ass handed to me. you really need to outsmart your opponent to win.

I just wish they would keep their word. They dropped SupCom like a rock.
