I haven't played the original in a while, it kept crashing on me in Vista 64. I downloaded the beta but I won't get a chance to play it till later this evening. Anyone else playing this?

I pre-ordered from gamespot yesterday, I should be getting a beta key e-mailed to me shortly. I was suprised to see they added a few new units to the original sup-com earlier in the week. Glad to know I'm not insane and the only one that had supcom crashing in Vista 64 either, I went back to XP for that reason.

Its a memory addressing issue in vista that causes the game to crash on large maps when you cross the 2.0GB mark.

There is a fix available on the Supcom forums.

Yeah, I have the 3gb fix, but it still ends up crashing in Vista.

I found supreme commander to be boring, does it take everyone else 90 minutes just to finish a game on normal? I think my problems stem from my lack of skill, but games should have a shorter learning curve.
