719 euros? Ouch.

Doesn't that site say "2-4 days" though? (In contrast to something like "in stock for immediate shipment"...that could just mean they they're expecting some but don't have any yet.)

Take off the almost 20% tax, and its closer to $750.

I have doubts its actually for sale now.

Don't learn French in the States...? ;) Although there's not much to be translated, otherwise I would have done so... They expect it to be in store within a week, but I highly doubt that... Probably a publicity stunt... Should I order one to test...? ;)

It's a pity the Euro is so "strong" compared to the US Dollar... Because of that, prices for computer hardware are really insanely high here... This ? 719 will probably become some $ 700 in the States...

It's the same with the 6800GS I recently bought... The cheapest I found it here was ? 189... Start making the calculation, that's some $ 230... If I lived in America, I would have saved a little more for a 7800GT, but here, those cost as much as $ 420... Really sad... :(

I have my doubts about this too. Wouldn't it be a trip though if even say by the 16th or 18th you could actually buy one of these cards(supposed to launch on the 24th).Talk about a totally different scenerio from the R520 buildup.

Edit- also noticed the 48 pipelines in the ad. This is going to be one monster card!!

If you buy from them and when and IF you get your card, it doesnt come as it says on the website you can happilly sue them for incorrect advertising!

Well the X1600 is listed as a 12 pipeline card so X1900 will probably be listed with 48.

ATi and NVIDIA have different definitions for pipelines, but on some tech sheets ATi did use "shader processors" for the X1600s 12 and "shader pipelines" for the X1800 so dunno...

That's a good find, but note that it says "2 to 4 days", not "in stock". I can read french if you guys want anything else translated. :)

How much was the 7800GTX 512mb when it came out? Is 700 Euros really out of line?

It also says that the stores have it "on order", not "in stock". My guess is that the website jumped the gun and they'll sell them on the launch date.

dude if a shop sell now and its isn't offically launched yet... i think they would sell the card at a very high price so stop your bitching and wait for the offical launch.

i just sold my 7800gtx a day ago and now i will either buy a 1900xt or G71 :) . All depends on the price , performance and Image quality but i manily going to buy the one that offers the best image quality :(. 7800gtx was horrible with BF2 :(

It's 16 pipelines with 3 shader units per pipeline. It's technically not 48 pipelines, but the definition of a pipeline is really quite convoluted these days.

Pete explained it quite eloquantly at one point but he'd probably find it boring to re-type it. :)
