The folks live five hours away in Portland. I was hoping I could get down there, change the starter out tomorrow or Saturday. But no go. Could also be a bad ground but the starter turns very, very slowly.

Teh suckage.🙁 I am with ya. My car is fine, but my family is all doing their own thing and my husband had to work. I am here all alone. Good day to clean the house. Maybe a frozen pizza for dinner.🙁

Try banging on it with a hammer, I have limped along using that system for 2 weeks before.

Be sure to carry the hammer in your car at all times though.

But don't I need to engage the starter while using the hammer?

Oh well..time to listen to some loud punk music. I'll be spending my time to today on OT and tomorrow, walking to Schucks for a starter. Adica, i'm with you on the Pizza. Have one from Costco with my name all over it 😉

could be as simple as cleaning the battery terminals and tightening the battery cables, but, you didnt really want to go there did you?
