"Supported CPU Technologies"

I noticed that motherboards on Newegg have an entry called "Supported CPU Technologies". Some CPUs list "Intel Hyper-Threading / XD-bit / EM64T / EIST Technology / Virtualization Technology" and some just list "Hyper-Threading Technology" for example. They both have the same north bridge and south bridge so are they blocking out these features with the BIOS or something? Or did they just make a mistake in not listing all the features? I'd be very surprised if the ASUS mobo below didn't support the XD bit.

I ask because I will need virtualization support. I thought maybe because most people didn't use it they just decided to get rid of it on the value models or something to that extent. Has there ever been a time where a lower end chipset has blocked a CPU feature or just didn't bother implementing the feature (if that's even up to chipset in the first place)?
