From the website:
On September 25, 2002, Christopher Reeve celebrates his 50th birthday. He has been a tireless advocate for medical research, advancements in care for spinal cord injury, and for the quality of life of more than two million Americans living with paralysis.

An anonymous donor has offered to contribute $1 to CRPF for every birthday card sent.

back in 1985 right before I joined the navy I got to see and meet Mr. Reeves he was friendly to us kids "I was 17" and on that same day he got to take a trip in a Navy Blue Angels fighter, He didn't puke :D
I rarely see him now that he doesn't smile at least some he's truly a superman for pushing himself so very hard to walk and have control again. He's inspired many as superman and inspired even more I am sure as a paralyzation victim.
Hat's off to you Mr. Reeve's
