Basically, their host advertised Unlimited Traffic on their web host servers, and still shut down Spoofee.com for having "too much traffic". Even though they say exactly on their site "Unlmited Traffic".

I am kinda bummed because I use the same Web Host. I plan to change Web host as soon as my contract runs out, since I am not going to support this kind of fraudulent companies. I love Spoofee.com and visit it often. Here's a post from me to show my support for Spoofee.com, and denouncing companies like Aplus.net.

Dear Spoofee.com Visitors ( 02 / 05 / 03 ),

I apologize for the website being down for the past 2 days.

What Happened :
Our webhost, Aplus.net has decided to shut down our website because Spoofee.com was causing too much traffic on their server. Aplus.net will not continue to host for Spoofee.com unless we pay more money regardless of what our contract states.

What We Plan To Do :
We found a new reliable webhost (dis). We also found that Aplus.net has transferred our domain name over to their server so we are in the process of transferring our domain name back.

What Does This Mean For You :
I'm really sorry for not having any deals the last two days. We will still try to update on this webhost until our domain name server switches back. So Yes, there will still be usual updates from tomorrow. By 02 / 11 / 03 at the latest, things should be the same as usual. Forums will be down until everything is cleared.

Yes, but they haven't shut me down. They shut spoofee.com down for a few days saying pay up, or no website.

the people at spofee.net should sue them then.

you should too; try to get your site shut down for bw reasons.

Bandwidth usage. PROVIDER will not restrict the bandwidth used by the CLIENT as long as the use is in compliance with the policies set below.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing in the TOS that spoofee.com violated.

And according to Kenji, they specifically said Spoofee.com is "slowing down the servers" and that they needed to upgrade to a $40/mo account period.

Thanks.

I just hope he can get his domain issues resolved so he can start using his dathorn.com webhosting account.

12. Fees. CLIENT agrees to pay for the services setup fee, monthly fee, heavy traffic fee (if any) and excessive space fee (if any). The setup fee and first month fee is due upon the signature of this agreement. PROVIDER will notify CLIENT in advance if any heavy traffic fee and/or excessive space fee are due.

heavy traffic fee (if any)

this is kinda vague. They say on their plan that it is UNLIMITED, thus implies no "heavy traffic" fees, and reinforces it by saying "if any", then later says it applies.
