a buddy recently told me about it and it seems pretty awesome, with no side effects and huge gains...

its pretty expensive though and im wary about what im puttin into my body so is anyone on it or has had any experiences with it? im really curious to find out more about how it affected different people and what their thoughts about it are.

thx for any input!

peace

If you don't know what it is, why do you want to use it? It basically blocks myostatin which supposedly spurs on growth of new muscle fibers (a generalization) I don't know how long you've been working out but if you're a newb looking to add mass fast that's not the way to go. Train hard and eat right.

ditto. wtf is up wiht suppliments?

work out hard, sweat your balls off every sessions. eat lots of carbs and meat (preferably fish), and you'd look GREAT in no time...

what a sissy, wasting money on suppliments..

I wouldn't say that buying supplements are a waste of money, just depends on what you buy. Whey protein and creatine have been scientifically proven to boost performance and gains.

your definition of great shape probably isn't the same as mine.

well if you could back that up that would be exactly why i started this thread, to find out about side-effects etc of this product.
Odds are you don't even know what it is and assume that its bad for you.
It's not a steroid, its a dietary supplement... and that's a huge difference.

So if anyone wants to actually contribute to this thread and not just toss uneducated generalizations around then by all means feel free.

I'd argue that working out hard and eating right and not using effective and cheap supplements (like creatine) is just short circuiting your efforts.

I don't use creatine at the moment but I probably will be at the end of the summer once I lose another few % bodyfat and start really trying to put some size on again.

Anyhoo what is your history with weights franguinho? If you have limited exposure to weights I'd recommend the only way to suppelement your diet is with protein. Anything else you're going to undermine the supplement's benefits because you're not used to training hard or properly. And, as mentioned below, a new person to weights can power on some size with just excercise and diet. Save the supplements for when your growth slows down.

Oh and in regards to side effects you can't be sure there are none. There have been many things released and oked by the FDA and later recalled (like phen phen!). Creatine is the most studied _supplement_ in history I believe and although people assumed at the beginning it was safe based on very limited studies only in recent years can we really be sure it is in fact "most likely" safe. Who knows what it does to a person using it for 20 years but I'd personally feel very safe using creatine. Something like myo-blast CSP3 I'd not be so comfortable with :) Not to say it's not safe but who's really done long term studies on it?

It blocks myostatin allowing for supposedly "explosive" muscle growth. You probably didn't know that did you? No one on this board is a frickin' sports doctor. It's such a new product that there are no studies done on it to trace both short and long term side effects. Get a fvcking clue before you ask stupid questions about popping pills.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=myostatin+side+effects

There's a listing for myostatin side effects. Man that was hard opening up IE and typing in www.google.com, and THEN typing in myostatin side effects. Jesus I'm tired from doing that much work!

skoorb ive worked out on and off since i was 15 pretty much but never really hardcore, just enough to stay in shape. then in the past 2 years ive gone on 1-month spurts where id work out every day, start putting on some size, and then just end up quitting for some reason and now ive been at it since last monday and im already bigger than i ever was (i still wouldnt go as far as saying im "big" ... 5'11 160) and im pretty determined to keep goin...

my roomate is pretty ripped and he said that he did one cycle of myoblast and it worked so well, like he put on 15 lbs and shed 5% body fat in 1 month. that sounds almost too good to be true so i wonder about if he exaggerated at all, but the bottom line is he was very satisfied with it...

but i agree with you in that its probaly better to wait a while and see how far i can get naturally before taking any supplements.
