It's good to take glutamine after your protein or with (non-flavored). Glutamine doesnt need to be cycled so you can take it for as long as your wallet allows.
Another thing that I've found to be help in lifting in Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) pills. They're pretty cheap but can really help you out.

I've taken this and had no side effects, but put on a very good amount of muscle during the cycle. You can buy andro products at GNC or the Vitamine Shop, they're widely considered safe.
Remember that it's not all about what you take in, your body needs to sleep to grow, so late night and early mornings are going to hurt you.
