supervolcano reported on cnn

Another couple centuries. . . Yosemite is it. So, good bye US when it blows 🙁 Atleast good bye to the western and central US. Eastcoast will remain. . . but with significant ash, and death will occur nevertheless as crops are distroyed and people unable to eat.

yellowstone national park is one giant active supervolcano... the whole park is a calderra. When that thing goes, most of north america will be under about 20' of volcanic ash
It is overdue for an eruption

Events like this are now impossible as our technological advancements have HIGHLY progressed. The volcano can be easily stopped and it'll be as if nothing happened.

So, do you have to sacrifice supermodels in a supervolcano to satisfy the gods?

I hereby volunteer to help any of them remove their virgin status so they are no longer eligible for the sacrifice.

I think you meant to say "Yellowstone". Yosemite is a park in California, and hasn't had any volcanic activity for a long long time. On the other hand, Yellowstone is more or less a giant volcano that sits simmering in northwestern Wyoming.

Then how would you explain THIS?

That is the result of a steamy night of passion shared between me and Mary Lou Retton.

it will happen the question is just when?

If you are talking about Yellowstone this may not be true. Scientist studying Yellowstone have said that there is no guarantee that it will erupt again. They have pointed out that during previous eruptions the earth's crust in the area was much thinner and the earth was much hotter, geologically speaking, than it is now.

LMAO

Too bad I spent all my money on handsome cream, thus preventing me from buying volcano insurance.
There is that rainy day fund though...

Well I combine my fear of a future terrorist attack with the caldera in Yellowstone. I saw that history or discovery channel special on yellowstone and I remember them saying the lakes have risen due to the pressure building. They showed some trees that used to be in solid ground that is now kind of a marsh land.

Anyways my fear is the terrorist focusing in on yellowstone and detonating a dirty bomb within the earth to set off the eruption.

I guess since I watch mainly discovery/history channels and '24' I put the two together to scare the crap out of me. Anyways I hope it doesn't blow while I am here. I am guessing the U.S. is very aware of the situation and that we will have a 'End of Days' movie about it in the coming years. Kind of like the astroid movies of 'Deep Impact' and 'Armageddon'.
